I was just feeling a little bad that maybe I wasn’t doing enough fun stuff with the kids this summer.  And then I looked through our pictures!  And I don’t feel bad anymore 🙂

Sunshine Fun Shave Ice is back open for business!

Josh is growing his hair out.  It’s super adorable.

Cub Scout Day Camp.  It was Blake’s first year coming.  I’m sad I don’t have a pic of him!  But, I got to spend one day with Josh’s group.  Here we are making armpit fudge and doing Archery.  Josh really like archery this year and wants to do lessons.

It was national donut day so we went to Lamar’s and got a free donut.  Then, I needed to go to Sam’s Club to do some Girls Camp shopping.  I told the kids if they would come and not whine we’d also stop for a free Krispie Kreme donut on our way home.  Line at Lamar’s–None.  Like at Krispie Kreme–LONG.  Like 1/2 hour.  I’m not sure it was worth saving $3.

We planted our little garden again this year.  The bunnies keep eating all the strawberry blossoms.  But the squash and zucchini are growing like champs!

We also did some curbing and planted flowers in our front yard.  I’m really excited about this.  We ripped out all the mulch and weed barrier and just put in topsoil.  We planted like 6 new things this year with plans to add more next year.  I just love flowers.  They brighten everything up and make me smile.

Halle and Rusty had a Kid Date to the Chalk Art festival and to see a Cirque show.

New Kids on the Block Concert.  It was bad.  Like, really, really bad.  We had a lot of fun making fun of the show.

The boys and Rusty pooled their money and bought and built a sumo robot.  It’s pretty cool!

While selling shave ice one day, Blake yanked out his tooth.

We went to Waneka Lake with the cousins when they came out for Blake’s baptism.  We tried to go crawdad fishing and had no luck.  But the swan paddle boat was pretty fun.

We all went on a walk the evening before the baptism.  While we were there Blake fell and smacked the back of his head really hard.  It was touch and go for a little bit.  I was worried he had a concussion.  He got super sleepy and a bit nauseated. We debated taking him to the dr, but after about 2 hours of rest he perked back up and was doing just fine.  Thank heavens!

Baseball season!  Blake’s coach got “fired” half way through the season because he was overly aggressive with the kids.  It was quite the controversy.  Blake has no clue that his coach is even different.  🙂
