I am seriously a happier person in the fall. It’s so fantastic to not be hot. And to be surrounded by all the beautiful colors. It’s just so wonderful. All of it. Can it be fall forever?
We went on the most beautiful hike in Rocky Mountain National Park. Lake Haiyaha had a mud slide early in the summer and all the minerals turned the water this unreal shade of blue/green. It was so beautiful.

The three football Amigos. It’s been such a fun season watching them improve–they are doing awesome! And Rusty and Ryan are the best coaches. Mave’s birthday! I got her a dog and a dog house to go along with her new doll. She named him Brownie. Regional Tennis at Cherry Creek. Even though they didn’t win, they played GREAT today. It’s been a tough season being a very young #1 Doubles Team and moving to 5A. I’m proud of the work they put in. Our first broncos game! The Broncos are about as good as the Rams. But that’s ok–it was still so fun! Halle and Lauren came down for EHS Homecoming weekend. We took Dash to the patch. We pour painted some pumpkins. I’d never done this before. Loved all the colors! The St. Vrain Valley Band Festival. I love this night. Bands are awesome. #truth Cole came in town for a concert and Carlie and I got to take him to dinner in Denver. We went to Safta and it was DELICIOUS Blake and I made Halloween cookie kits for a fundraiser for his band trip. We earned $350! We worked pretty hard to get these done. I LOVE THIS TREE! We had a fun, sparkly Soirée for Liv’s birthday Tennis Banquet at Collier’s Hill Clubhouse. It turned out great. It was really good to come together and celebrate all the team accomplishments this season. We had a potluck dinner with tons of different kinds of sliders. Terrible picture, but this was the last marching band performance of the season. Josh isn’t doing band next year, so this might have been his final one. I love my Friday night Half Time shows! Halloween fun. We made these awesome monsters from foam. These were our test subjects so we could teach the Schofields at our Halloween party My Spooky Char-Boo-terie Board with homemade Root Beer. We had fun at our party–we played pin the nose on the witch, Halloween Bingo, and made spooky monsters. After CSU Homecoming, everyone came down to our house on Sunday. Rusty was called into the bishopric and it was really great to have family there with us. President Remund invited Alan to stand in the circle for both Rusty’s ordination to High Priest and his setting apart as 2nd counselor in the bishopric. He said, “Father trumps all.” It was such a special moment. I wish I would have taken a picture at church. And maybe the very best part is that during the setting apart, President Lolotai said, Rustin Bjorn Borg. Everyone in the circle (and the whole room) cracked up. It took a little bit to get everyone under control again. We are going to tell that story for years to come, I’m sure.
It’s been a hard decision for Rusty to take this calling. We’ve thought and prayed a lot about it. Rusty said he went to the temple with a list of concerns, and when he came out, he couldn’t really remember what those concerns were. Not that they went away, but that they didn’t seem as pressing or important. I think this is going to be a great leaning and growing experience for our family.Rusty, Josh, Alan and Blake played ping pong late into the night. Family game of Nerfis! We love this game!
