Summers with teens are so different than with little kids. Most the time they are out having fun with their friends and I’m stuck at home! I’m no longer the party planner. Sad for me.
Just your average day in Erie š Google does a cool program called Google Serve. They set up a bunch of different service projects for their employees to do. Rusty picked Soul Paws Dog Rescue. They helped clean and organize the donations. And they got to play with the cute doggies and kitties. The teens having McDonalds and Mountain Dew at like 10:30pm Blake is off the Heleman’s Camp! Blake has been selling shave ice at the pool to earn money for the Band trip to Disney World. Cyrus stopped by for quality control. Hanging out at work CSU orientation! Halle got to stuff her own Cam the Ram! We had so much fun at orientation. It made both of us even more excited for her to come here in the Fall. We even got to sleep in the dorms. College was so fun, but that’s a part I definitely don’t miss. And….Halle decided to join the marching band! WAHOO!!! After orientation we stopped by the temple for some baptisms. BBQ with the Schofields Top of Mt Audubon! 13,223ft. Another way Blake earned some money toward his trip was by cleaning garbage cans. That was some good, hard work! We got to participate in the Schofields tradition of Ice Cream for Dinner! Carlie made homemade vanilla ice cream and we loaded up on the toppings. It was so much fun! Rusty took another trip to Mountain View Halle won $44 lottery tickets to Moulin Rouge! And she took me with her. We had fun comparing the touring cast to the Broadway cast we saw in April. Pizza dinner before the Brighton Stake Dance. It was supposed to be an outside dance, but it poured rain, so they were stuck inside a small, stuffy gym. They still had a blast. Cutest little mascot you ever did see Rusty and I got to attend the Arts Hub Spectacular Spectacular Gala. It was a blast! We won some fun prizes, donated some money to support the arts, ate good food, and thoroughly enjoyed the Drag Queen MC. Josh had to break into Carlie’s house because while they were kayaking at Dickens Farm their kayak capsized and sent their car keys to the bottom of the river. It was quite the adventure. Carlie had to rescue Mave and Cy before they floated away. Halle For his birthday Halle and Rusty went to a fun Jurassic Park exhibit at the Fairgrounds. Halle, Ruby, and Riley went on a camping adventure for a few days in WY. They had some tent trouble and some rain that forced them home a night early, but overall they had a great time. AJR Concert! They parked in Denver and took the train out the Fiddlers Green all by themselves! I was so impressed. Tech crew for Wizard of Oz at the Arts Hub. It was an intense week as Halle volunteered at the kids production of Wizard of Oz. They pulled it off! It was such a cute show.
