Easter Festivities 2022

It’s so fun to have family around to force my kids to do fun things! We did another glow in the dark Easter Egg hunt, decorated cookie, and decorated eggs. It was the best! Blake did not agree. He had a hard time finding eggs and didn’t want any help. He was mad and refused to be in our picture.

On Easter, the bunny once again hid baskets. This year the kids found them with relative ease. Best thing is we got a Bubble Waffle maker!! So freakin delicious. I should have advocated for a better Easter family picture, but I just didn’t have the fight in me. So, enjoy this very strange angle and kinda blurry faces. AND, I didn’t take any pics of the kids with their baskets!

After dinner we walked up to the cemetery only to find it closed. We were disappointed.

I loved the First Presidency Easter message this year. Simple, yet powerful.

“He is risen” was the angelic message of the first Easter. With feelings of worship and gratitude, we declare our witness that Jesus Christ is indeed risen.

God the Father has given us the divine birth, the incomparable life, and the infinite atoning sacrifice of His Beloved Son, Jesus Christ.

By the power of the Father, Jesus rose again and claimed the victory over death. He is our resurrected Savior, our Exemplar, and our Redeemer. He is the light, the life, and the hope of the world. His way is the path that leads to happiness in this life and eternal life in the world to come.

May the glorious significance of Easter attract all to follow Jesus Christ and to love one another as He taught in word and deed.
