Labor Day trip to Grand Lake. We let each kid invite a friend. This was a fun way to travel! It was a bit colder than we would have liked, but we had fun at the lake, playing games, swimming in the pool, and wandering around the cute town.

The Hairy Coo had a baby! Mitchell invited us to attend his Endowment before starting his Service Mission. It was the first time we’d been able to attend since the pandemic began. Planting trees. The boys had fun chopping down the trees. And we broke a tow rope trying to rip out the stump. Snow in Sept! Film on the Rocks, Covid edition. They moved it from Red Rocks ampitheater to a nearby parking lot and did a drive in. We watched Remember the Titans. The boys thought the best part was the concessions box they gave to every car that had cokes, popcorn and licorice Rusty volunteered with Habitat for Humanity on the Sept 11th–a National Day of Service. Sunday evening walk to the cemetery to say hi to Jim My biggest Instacart batch to date. It was over $500! The very worst part of Sept. Halle was really sick–we thought she had Covid. She tested negative for that but had been really dehydrated so the pediatrician suggested going to get some IV fluids. We went to Children’s Hospital by our house–and it took them 4 tries to get a vein. It was awful. They did labs and her inflammatory markers were sky high. They suspected a Crohn’s flare. They wanted to admit her to the hospital so she got an ambulance ride to Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children, where her GI doc is based. We ended up stay 4 days. She progressively got better each day. They still aren’t quite sure if she had an infection that flared the Crohn’s or if Crohn’s caused an infection. It’s been really hard to see her so sick. First solid food in days! We are blessed with great friends and family who sent many fun gifts, flowers and balloons. Josh’s room renovation! Those triangles almost killed me, but they turned out so great. Glad we persevered. Josh was a great painter and furniture builder. Happy 39th birthday to me! Blowing out the candles Covid style. Germ free! Color run for a Youth Activity. They had a blast! Halle’s scalp is still a little blue, 3 weeks later š
