April 2024 Recap
In no particular order, here’s a glance at April happenings

We got to celebrate with the Owens as Max opened his mission call to Chili!
Adorable baby owls in a nest near Hickory
Blake saw a funny video where a toothpaste covered egg melted the shell away and left a clear egg behind. He was skeptical. We tried it. I went to walmart and bought a rubber egg and made the swap. I was so excited for his reaction. But of course, the first thing he saw was the “made in china” stamp on the bottom. Prank ruined.
Tjos is how I will remeber 9th grade Blake
Yay Spring! The flowers are here
Hosting the cute 12 year olds for a speed dating activity. They loved it.
Tim McGraw!! Such a fun night, even if Tim was a little pitchy. After he sang “humble and Kind,” he said, “It’s probably not appropriate that I sing that song while wearing these jeans. The man does look good in a pair of jeans.

Classic game of groundies
Blake evading capture
Youth temple trip! We went to Chic-fli-a for milkshakes after. It’s always a hilarious site to see them completely take over the restaurant.

Date night at the Grizzly Rose. Only me (rusty was gone) the Owens and the Toys were brave enough to show up. And it was an absolute blast.
The Rockers are improving every week! This was a banner game for Blake–he nade 5 touchdowns!

Ward Talent show! Funky buckets
The Priests did a skit about the day in the life of the bishop. It was really cute.
Solar Eclipse!! It wasn’t a full eclipse in Colorado, but Blake and I wanted to experience what we could. So I checked him out of school and we take lunch and watched the eclipse. Then we went to Sonic and got the special Eclipse slush float. It quickly became a favorite and I bet we went back 10 times over the month until they took it off the menu.

Lazy General Conference Sunday
Google Eldora ski day!

The Deacons go to Moab on a “mini high adventure.” Despite A LOT of time in the car, they had a really great time exploring Arches, and hiking in a slot canyon.
