Dash loves his daily lounge in the sun Spring Ski Day! Hamilton! Blake said Hamilton was dumb and “who wants to spend hours listening to people sing?” So, we brought someone who would appreciate it! Carlie to the rescue! Josh got super dressed up for the theater 🙂 Feeding the Sound of Music Cast! 100 kids and an epic taco bar! It’s a lot of work, but I actually love to do it. The kids were so cute. They were so complimentary and grateful. And Halle said they were looking forward to my tacos all week. They know how to worm their way into my heart 🙂 It was also Grace’s 18th birthday! She was absolutely mobbed by the kids cast who all clamored to sit with her. More 18th bday fun! I made the cake this year. It was lemon raspberry recipe from Ballerina Farm. Seriously, so good. Now on to the next 100+ teen activity of the week! We had a stake game night. Human Hungry Hippo, Volleyball, ping pong, video games, board games, a massive game of werewolf, pizza, ice cream sundaes, it was a BLAST.

The best part of March was Sound of Music! Being back inside a packed auditorium watching live theater without masks on was HEAVEN! Halle played Frau Schmidt and she had a TON of stage time. It was so fun to see her shine. I tried to obey the rules and so I only snuck a few pictures. Now I’m kicking myself. I wish I had more! Grandma and Grandpa drove in for a quick weekend and it was so special to have them there.
Those kids work SO HARD. In the weeks leading up to the play they were at school till like 9pm every night. I got teary several times. I hate these lasts–this has been such a fun year and I never want it to end. Halle says her favorite part of being in the play is getting to grow as an actor and getting closer to her friends. They are such a great group of kids.
This was my program insert for Halle. Aren’t I hilarious?
