The fun just doesn’t stop. LONG LIVE FALL!!

General Conference Feast
We went to Golden Gate State Park, but we were a little too late.
Regional Tennis! In a stroke of bad luck, Josh and Braden drew Silver Creek. Again! They battled out the first set but lost 5-7. It was pretty downhill from there. I am so proud of the season Josh has had. And so sad that it’s over. I’ve loved every minute of being a tennis mom.
St Vrain Valley Band night. Funny story. I had to bring Josh straight from tennis and we were running late. So after I dropped him off I tried to park at a nearby restaurant. As I was getting out of my car a lady runs out and says, “Are you eating here? Because you can’t park here if you’re not.” I froze, and so I said I was hoping to order takeout. I had to go in and order some dessert! Which they said would take 20 min. I told them I’d be back to pick it up. So I ran over, watched the band (who was first) and then went back for my dessert. Which was gross. What a disaster.

Senior Night at Band! And the last half time performance. I am so proud of this girl! She has worked hard and had so much fun with band during her HS career. Can’t believe it’s over. This felt like the first “last.” And I didn’t like that. Not one bit.

Halle was the only one who wanted to go to the Pumpkin Patch this year. So we took Dash and off we went on a beautiful fall day. It’s nice having a Dash when you don’t have any toddlers. We took him to see the Goats and sheep (He REALLY did not like that) and took his picture in the wagon.

Blake had a fun flag football season. On his last game of the season he made a stellar touchdown! Go Blake! Saturday mornings are going to feel very empty now that it’s over.

Next up, Homecoming! I’ve always thought it would be so fun to be in the homecoming parade. And I was right! The tennis team had never participated so I volunteered to be in charge. I bought a ton of mini beach balls and candy and the players had a great time smacking them with their racket into the crowd. I wish I would have taken a picture of the first 100 yards of the parade. The ground was literally COATED in candy. You could not even see the asphalt. And the Marching Band kicked it all off!

That night was the Homecoming Game. I wanted to record Halle close up and she was not a huge fan of that. But, it’s her Senior year, so I get to do what I want. Josh, I promise there will be more video of you next year.

The next night was the dance. Halle and her friends opted to go hang out at Boondocks in their fancy dresses instead of go to the dance. But Halle and Riley did come over for some pictures.

Josh and company came and ate nachos and took pics. Then they went to the dance. Josh’s verdict? “Didn’t love it. Didn’t hate it.”
