I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, STOP GROWING! Only one more year of childhood for you. Wow. It’s been a strange, strange year to be in High School. So many experiences cancelled or delayed. And that has brought a lot of disappointment and uncertainty. But I hope we can still look back on this year and see it as a turning point. Where we realized the importance of our health and family. Where we got a chance to step back and evaluate how we spent our time. And where we developed a whole lot of grit and learned to be adaptable.
I am really proud of how you’ve handled many hard things thrown at you this year. Cancelled Musicals and a trip to the hospital to name just two. You show such grace and maturity. I feel so blessed to be your mom and walk through this life with you.
This fall you and I have loved watching Dancing With the Stars together. And even though the boys complain, we both know they secretly love it. You also got your first job at King Soopers! It was a big learning curve and some long days, but you sure love to get those paychecks. Dad jokes that you’ve recently become a “thousandaire.”
You and Dash are still two peas in a pod. He about loses his mind every single night that you come home from work. You’d think you’d been gone for months! It’s so cute to see. But we all feel the same–everything doesn’t feel right until you are with us again. You are the glue that holds us all together.
We love you!
