Christmas 2025
We figured this might the the last time in a long time that everyone could be in Utah for Christmas. So, we took advantage of it. We packed in all the traditions we could, starting with Luminaria. How adorable is this picture of Finn keeping up and hanging out with his big boy cousins? Melted my heart.

We partied with Cory and Lindsey and kids, and this is the only picture I have to show for it!

Christmas Sunday! Halle and Blake were still back in Colorado.

Christmas Eve Skiing. The snow was CRAP and only about 5 runs were open, but we kept the tradition alive! We still had quite the fun day.

The meal Josh looks forward to all year. Cheesy potatoes and ribs. Loved hanging with that family of mine! Halle sang “Mary, did you know?” and Sawyer was MESMERIZED. He was staring at her and leaning forward and totally engaged the entire song. Cutest thing ever.

Halle and Josh decided to prank Grandma and Grandpa this year. We snuck their pajama boxes and carefully unwrapped them. Then, they added shirts that said, “Grandma’s Favorite” and “Grandpa’s Favorite.” So, when they opened up their jammies they totally hammed it up–“Grandma I KNEW I was your favorite! Thank you so so much! This is so awesome!” etc. My mom was SO CONFUSED. She could not comprehend how this had happened! And Grandpa was just smiling, because he didn’t have anything to do with the pajamas, so he had no idea anything was amiss! ha ha ha. We all had a pretty good laugh.

Blake got his favorite character from Jujutsu Kaisen, Satoru Gojo. He was SO EXCITED. Possibly these are the best jammies of his whole life.

The kids had their annual sleepover and kept threatening Blake that he’d have to sleep on the Princess cot if he was being annoying. One stipulation of coming to Utah was that we were not going to try to haul all their presents this time. We’d bring stockings, and then we’d open the rest on the 26th when we got home. They woke up earlier than the elves anticipated, so the elves had to get busy hiding! Santa brought his annual letter, and I got one too! The elves SLAYED it this year. Best one yet. The kids were given energy drinks and candy and sent on a scavenger hunt all over AF and Highland. The stockings were on the roof and they had to use the scissor lift to go up and get them. It was epic.

We spent the rest of the day lounging in our jammies. It was heavenly. Rusty had a bit of a hard day. He was really missing his parents. Josh and Halle were so sweet to notice and to give him some extra love.
We flew home the next day and it was Christmas part 2! We saved dinner under the Tree until Josh could be with us.

I found the Lego technic car that Blake REALLLY wanted on super sale. He didn’t think he was getting it because it was so expensive. It was so fun to surprise him! And apparently, I took zero pics of Halle. Sad!

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night! I’m off to sleep for a week.
