As I sat down to write this post I thought, “not much happened in Jan 2021.” ummm….WRONG. It was quite an eventful month for the world. Capitol Insurrection, Biden Inauguration, Covid vaccine roll out. It never ceases to amaze me how we can get caught up in the the daily droll and easily forget the big or fun moments.
Blake is ordained to the Aaronic Priesthood! We had the bishop, and both sets of grandparents join us via Zoom. I am really proud of Blake and excited to watch him learn and grow in his priesthood responsibilities. Mob tries to halt the Senate from counting the electoral votes to confim Biden’s win. Seriously–I feel like I have entered an alternate dimension. It started the day we were in NYC when Trump was elected and things have just gotten weirder and weirder. I’d like to get back to my previous dimension, please! We got a present for Christmas called the Adventure Book. It’s a scratch off adventure and you HAVE to do what it says. This one was to get a black light and some black light acrylic paint and have fun making creations. We went to walmart to get the paint and black cardstock and then we had fun playing around with different drawings. The Sequoia is starting to show her age. The axel broke as Halle was going around a round about. Luckily she could quickly pull off on a side street. It was an easier fix than we thought, but I have a feeling things are all downhill from here. How kids play in 2021. 2 computers, 2 ipads, and a bunch of phones. Halle, Rusty and Dash have a weekly Wed lunch date while the boys are at school. Kiwi Crates for the win! What a great way to spend a cold January day. Ski trip to Arapahoe Basin for the weekend. Halle had to work so we took Claire with us. She wore Halle’s coat and no one was the wiser. It was so fun to bring a friend. It made everything just a little more exciting. I can’t believe how much fun these three had. They never wanted to stop! Rusty got to go night skiing at Keystone. The condos we were staying at provided free passes to night ski the day you checked in. The rest of us were pooped, so Rusty went alone. He had an awesome time! I think keystone will be next for a family ski trip. Fry Break! Everyone’s favorite. But I hate when Rusty takes eating pictures. Hence, the beautiful face I’m pulling. Grace was playing the piano in sacrament meeting, so we logged on to watch her. There are definite perks to online church! We went ice skating on Keystone’s 5 acre lake. It was really fun!
