It was just us this Christmas. But thanks to the magic of Zoom, we still had fun connecting with our family. The day started with opening cousin presents. It was late morning for us, and almost bedtime for the Schofields! I’m glad we did it this way–it was fun to see all the kids and their joy and excitement when opening up there gifts. These cousins really love each other!
Then we dragged the kids on a hike in Boulder. We grabbed Chipotle on the way and enjoyed our view of the Flatirons. It was such a beautiful day. I’m glad we got outside to enjoy it.
When we got home we got to work making Luminaries. Someone on our street had the fun idea that we should all make them and light them on Christmas Eve. It was so fun driving around and seeing them all lit up.
Now, the moment we’ve all been waiting for–Christmas Eve dinner! Lucky peeps in Utah had dinner hand delivered by Mom. And poor Cole caught Covid! He was house sitting for a friend and quarantined there over Christmas. What a bummer. He didn’t feel great, but luckily it wasn’t too serious. Unfortunately, cheesy potatoes and ribs don’t ship well to CO :). We all jumped on Zoom and had fun chatting all through dinner. And poor Cole caught Covid! He was house sitting for a friend and quarantined there over Christmas. What a bummer. He didn’t feel great, but luckily it wasn’t too serious.
Now Zoom Jammies! Grandma knocked it out of the park again this year with Blake’s Mandalorian jammies, Josh’s Office jammies, and Halle’s so soft and fuzzy cheetah jammies.
Last up for the Banks kids were sibling presents and the annual sleepover in Halle’s room. The all went to Target again this year to pick gifts. Halle got exactly what she asked for, but Blake and Josh both got a little surprise. Josh got a game called Neanderthal Poet, and Blake got a whole bunch of his favorite “World’s Smallest” toys.
