Rusty’s London birthday

Happy 38th birthday Rusty!  He woke up in Rome, and went to sleep in London!

After 48 whirlwind hours in Rome it was time to head to London.  We flew out of Fuimicino airport.  What a beautiful airport!  And don’t the boys look like they could pose for an Android ad?

We arrived in Gatwick airport.  And Heely’s in the airport is a BRILLIANT idea. We took a train to Clapham Junction, our train stop for the next 5 weeks!  We were immediately in love with our cute little neighborhood and LOVE the fact that we are a 3 minute walk from the train station.

Is there anything better than Grandma scratching your head while you sleep on the train? 2018-06-05 16.19.24

We got settled into our apartment, which we LOVE, and then we made our way into the city for a birthday dinner for Rusty.  First time for the kids on the Tube!2018-06-05 18.45.52We wanted to do Indian Food, but the wait was 1.5 hours.  So we settled for fish and chips.  The boys really loved them a lot.  I thought they were just ok.  Then it was on to birthday dessert.  Bubble Wrap Waffle in Chinatown for the WIN.  These things were amazing. Josh said they are his favorite thing he’s eaten on the trip so far.  I agree.  2018-06-05 20.39.482018-06-05 20.40.36

We explored the Liecster Square area and ended up at the Lego Store.  We found Rusty a birthday boy mini figure by squishing a million mystery packs in search of the balloon shape, and the kids all built their own mini figures.  Such a fun night!
