We had the “Ultimate Banksberry Adventure” (Josh’s words) at the Parade of Lights. We booked 2 rooms at the Hyatt, one for the girls and one for the boys. Again this year we opted for the Regency Club level and it didn’t disappoint! When we arrived we went up and got some yummy snacks and drinks.
We went for a walk around Downtown and somewhere along the walk we realized Blake’s Angry Bird hat was missing. We thought maybe Santa stole it when we stopped for a picture 🙂
We thought it was a goner for sure, but as we retraced our steps we found it perched on the horns of one of the famous Denver Cows. Thank heavens! It would have been a cold night without it!
We decided to try the appetizers in the club instead of going to dinner. It did the job perfectly! Everyone found at least one thing they liked and since we’d had snacks not too long before no one was too hungry.
Rusty went down and saved us seats with the rest of us got cozied up in our warm clothes. We made our way to our seats and proceeded to wait FOREVER. but it was worth it.
We loved cheering for Major Waddles, hearing all the bands play our favorite Christmas songs, and seeing our favorites–low rider cars, fire dancers, and the pink elephant. The weather was cold, but doable.
After the parade we went back up to our room and got ready for bed. We then all snuggled up in the boys room and watched Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmas.
The next morning we went to breakfast in our pjs.
All the kids went swimming in the freezing cold pool. Thank heavens for the outdoor hot tub! I stayed on dry ground 🙂
And it was fun to include the Rowberry’s in our annual picture by the Hyatt Christmas tree.
We headed to church and couldn’t stop laughing and talking about all the fun we’d had together. Love these sweet kids so much.
