Josh Mission Email June 12 2026: Mega week
Hi guys! Super short one today. I haven’t missed a P day since I left home so I didn’t wanna start now. P day got moved to today, it’s been a while which is unfortunate because I totally made a typo in the subject of the last email. That’d be chill and nobody would know because it’s freaking Chinese but unfortunately my MTC district and teacher (rip Brother Ferry leaving early on the last day) are on here. Anyways 我们都是传教士。 I don’t have a lot to say, but the work is still moving forward out here. We’re going to the temple today, I am so excited.
highlights:
– got chased by a big German Shepherd
we were getting bashed by a Catholic guy and someone came up and gave us mango applesauce
– we met 3 old ladies who all went to different churches and they ended up bashing each other and giving us candy
– Some guy in the mall gave me a pop tart AND said he would come to church
– We had a member take us to Wingstop because she wanted to switch it up from Chinese food
– almost all of my highlights revolve around food, this is NOT a good look. I didn’t even eat anything super good, I just love when people give me treats.
– I was about to redeem myself by talking about how the rain and sky has been awesome lately, I love the rain. I also had a SUPER good mandarin orange while we were driving in the rain and it did in fact make my day so there’s really no escape.
REDEMPTION TIME WITH A KILLER TIE IN 🚨🔥
Today I wanna talk about the most important thing we eat and drink all week. Every week at every church around the world, during the sacrament everyone eats a tiny piece of bread and drinks a tiny cup of water. The bread represents the body of Christ, torn and broken for each of us. Each piece is different and individual, just like how Jesus took on all of our different kinds of afflictions and can therefore help us individually. The water represents His blood, those drops He shed in agony for each one of us. As we take the sacrament, we remember Him. As we remember Him, we reflect on how we can better follow Him and live the covenants we have made. As we do so, we see our lives and our very natures changed for the better. I hope all of you can make the sacrament a more meaningful experience this week!
