Josh Mission Email June 15 2026: Brainrot needed 🙏
OK it’s been like 3 days, I hope you all are excited for another email. Even though we didn’t have much time, it was a fun couple of days.
Right after P day ended on Friday we went out to the metro to talk to people. We found a phone on the ground that had been run over, and there was an ID in the back. The phone still worked but the screen was busted, so we figured it was worth trying to get back to the owner. We looked up the address and found out we could take the metro and bus right over to the area where the owner lived. We decided to go try and return it and talk to everyone along the way. It went pretty well for the first stretch, and then we got on a bus that was pretty much abandoned and rode that for a while. After that we walked for a bit and found the neighborhood where this guy lived. It was one of the strangest things I’ve seen. It was the nicer part of town and there was a huge barbed wire fence surrounding the entire neighborhood. The only way to enter was through a manned security gate, and they said we needed to have permission in order to enter. Normally I would think that a place like this would be ultra fancy, but it was full of apartment buildings and smaller houses. None of them screamed money, they were old but PERFECTLY manicured and maintained. Gave me weird WandaVision vibes, I’m sad we didn’t get to walk around inside. We tried to go back and the last bus of the night just didn’t come, so we got stranded and had to call our Zone Leaders to come and rescue us.
On Saturday we had the best English class turnout of my entire mission so far, which made it a ton of fun. We talked about daily routines and got to answer questions about some bad words they had heard. We’ve also been teaching them slang and brainrot and it’s paying dividends. Yesterday we had dinner with our 70 year old relief society president and OUT OF NOWHERE she goes “seven six!!!” And starts hitting the emote. She also LOVES when we do the “me too” “me three” thing but she’ll aways start at “me four” or “me five” after someone says “me too”. Everyone please send me ideas for new words or jokes to teach our class.

I like this quote because it’s so direct. This is our Savior’s character. He wants to help guide and bless you. I add my testimony that His arm is extended and change is always possible!
