Homecoming(s) 2025
Double HoCo for Blake and Cadence this year. It was fun for them to take turns asking each other to the dance. Cadence came over to surprise Blake after band rehearsal, and she was so nervous! It was adorable. And, he’d been planning his poster for WEEKS. It was fun to help him bring his vision to life. And then he and Cash had a hilarious double cross going. Cash was in contact with Cadence telling her he was going to ask Bailey to HoCo. And Blake was in contact with Bailey telling her he was asking Cadence to Hoco. They got them both to the same park under the guise that the other was getting asked to the dance. Then, surprise! Both boys appear. It made it so fun for them all to do it together.

Centaurus Homecoming was first. They went with a group of Cadence’s friends and had such a good time. And…supermodels much? I told them I’m going to sell these pics to a magazine and get rich. Jeanette told Blake to kiss Cadence on the cheek for one pic and he was blushing SO HARD. We were all giggling. She also kept her dress top secret, and let’s just say, it lived up to the hype. She took him shopping and got the perfect shirt and tie to match. And how cute are their matching Converse?

I didn’t get quite the same reaction with my cheek kiss.
Next up was the annual Erie Homecoming Parade and Football game. The parade was so fun, and this was the innagural parade for the new band uniforms! This year it ended with a foam gun blasting the streets and the kids thought that was the best thing ever. I went with Carlie and co. I didn’t get any good pics at the football game. Sad.

For Erie’s dance, the 4 of them took pics, went to eat sushi and showed up at the dance a little after 8. They said by 9 it was a ghost town! So, they went to Bailey’s for a little bit, then Cadence and Blake finished the night at our house. I think Centaurus won the best dance by a landslide.

BYU was playing CU that evening and we scored some free tickets in the BYU visitor section. While the kids went to the dance, the parents went to the football game. Jeanette and Matt are so cool and we had such a fun night hanging out with them. We had to leave at the beginning of the 4th quarter to be home for the kids, just as the game was getting good! BYU pulled out a win 24-21. AND…we got to see our very first Ralphie Run. That might have been the best part.
