I think the rest of Sept can be summed up in 3 words: Tennis, band, and closet. We finally pulled the trigger on a Pax Ikea Closet system. We’ve been wanting to do this for a long time. We got all the demo done, and then set aside one Saturday to do the install. Things actually went pretty smoothly, but, as is always true when building Ikea products, it took a lot longer than we thought. We recruited Dan and Carlie to come help and we are so glad they did! Things went much quicker, and it was nice to have a few more sets of muscles to move those heavy pieces. It’s really hard to take pics in our closet, but I love how it turned out. Everything feels so much cleaner and more organized.

a little Pickleball on a Sunday afternoon Training most days for Berlin! Halle and roommates and all their adorable animals. This is a good story. Blake had a friend make a silly bet that involved shoving a little ball of paper in his ear. Well…He could not get the paper out and it took a 3 hour trip to the urgent care, and then a visit the next day to the ENT before it was finally removed. The urgent care hurt pretty badly with all the digging they were doing in his ear canal. Lesson learned. I love being the tennis team mom! Joanna and Eden taught me to make leis and we customized them for the tennis seniors on Senior Night. The boys decided they liked them better as sashes. Grandpa and Grandma kept everyone safe and sound while we were in Berlin! And Halle came down for a little weekend visit so she could see them. My boys were mostly on their own, but sure loved the home cooked meals and rides! Dash was probably the most grateful. He got walked everyday. Usually he hates that, but I think he hates being alone even more. Briggs Street Bash! For the second year in a row the Tennis booth earned the most money by a landslide! In addition to Shave Ice this year we did pie in the face. Hit a tennis ball through a target and then get to pie the tennis player of your choosing. Everyone LOVED it.
