Rusty was trying to decide if he should drive home on Labor Day, or if he should stick around another day in case Josh’s mission call came on Tuesday. We asked Bishop Cook to check the missionary portal, and it said that, despite Josh having his stake president interview almost 2 weeks ago, that his…
We had planned on staying in Utah for about 10 days in case Josh got his mission call, but life had other plans in store. On Saturday evening Blake was at a Stake dance and collided with another kid during “Run Away from Love.” He was pretty sure he broke his nose, but we had…
It’s been a WHIRLWHIND couple of weeks, in the best possible ways. The weekend before Josh was leaving Halle and Owen came down and we all went to dinner at Old Mine. Then, we had one last family game of Skull King, where, as we all know, if you have a yellow, you have to…

Dear Blake, Wow—16 already! This year has been another whirlwind of growth and joy. You absolutely nailed Driver’s Ed and earned that coveted permit—hands down one of the proudest “I still can’t believe I drove a car today” moments. I loved watching you in your first driving lesson at the airpark; you handled it like…
