Jessica’s Wedding in Roatan
What an absolute honor and adventure to get to attend Jessica and Lucas’s wedding in Roatan. Jessica was a picture-perfect bride, and as always, I love being with my Hawaii friends. I almost got turned away at customs! Apparently, someone else with a similar name was on some kind of watch list, and they had to call Interpol, and then I had to wait for almost an hour before they cleared me! I was already cutting things close for the wedding, so I was very anxious. Luckily it all worked out and I went straight to the resort, got ready as fast as I could, and then we were off to pictures!

The ceremony was lovely–Jessica’s dad married them and it was so special. And, they had quite the audience in the pool! George said, “Welcome friends, family, and random people in the pool!”
Dinner and dancing were next. And we had quite the surprise for Jessica. Flash mob to one of our favorite songs from our Hawaii days! I’m pretty proud of myself–I had to learn this in about 20 min. Everyone else flew in a few days before I did and they’d been practicing. It was SO FUN and everyone loved it.

The next day we went to brunch and hit the beach in our coordinated swim suits.

Then everyone but me and Steph were leaving to go home. It was too soon! I didn’t get enough time with everyone!

We had been staying at an airbnb, but that was too big for just Steph and I, so we moved to a resort over by Jessica. It was lovely. Big yummy breakfasts, beautiful pools….we had an amazing time just chatting in the sun. And going back to the restaurant that had $4 pina coladas. YUMMY

One of my favorite things we did was a night snorkel! We saw so many amazing creatures. HUGE starfish, eels, squid, lobsters, and my very favorite–this beautiful octopus. There was also a baby that we didn’t get a video of.

It’s a trip we’ll never forget! Happy Wedding Jessica and Lucas!
