Banks Bunch in Steamboat
I got so behind on blogging, so I’m using Rusty’s journal. I think he must have been a little behind too, because he didn’t say much! Suffice it to say, we had such a fun time being together in Steamboat. Love this family of ours!
Was happy to turn my phone off and leave to Steamboat on Thursday. Halle and Owen and blake came with us. Tons of fun. Funny car ride up. Had an argument about whether boys should always agree with women even when boys are right and the girls argued and blake said ‘you know what, you. are right’. It was so funny and so clever. The kid is sharp.
Steamboat was fun. Thursday we met everyone at the steak house where you make your own steak. Back to the condos. The next morning we saw a BIG BEAR! Then we went paddleboarding at pearl reseviour. Then we hit up strawberry hot springs. And then we were roasted – pizza at the condo.
Next day Owen and I went mountain biking up the resort. It was hard. The downhill was closed. So had to take XC on the way up. Rode Brett’s bike. Had a good time. It’s beautiful. Picked up my truck from charging at the resort – cost $14 to fill up! Awesome. It was HOT that day. Went to the parade. Hot parade = no fun. Went to watch the ski jump. Found a perfect place on the shady deck. Kinda fun. Came home and went in the pool. More fun. Had a BBQ. That night was the RODEO which was AWESOME. Tons of fun. Talked to josh during it. Halle LOVED the rodeo, it was super cute how much she loved it. Just all the beautiful horses. Blake loved it to – the bull riding. They are going again in Estes today. Tara looked so cute in this red white and blue ruffled tank top. Like when we were first married. LOVE.
Sunday morning woke up and went on a walk with Cory. We talked about kids and getting passionate about things at this stage in life. Cory wants to be passionate / addicted to something, but nothign is exciting enough.
We then played pickleball indoors at Steamboat Pickleball and it was cool. I thought they were going to be snobby but they weren’t. We had a great time. Halle and I versus blake and Bode was really close. Tons of fun.
Then just ate lunch (massive salad bar from Tara, Kami was THRILLED and thought Tara was the best). Then we drove home. Boring. Still some fun parts. But there was traffic. I probably should have let others drive but there was navigating to do.
