Cornell Christmas Party

Many nights of Dec Josh goes to bed licking his chops, dreaming of Christmas Eve dinner.  Ribs and Cheesy Potatoes.  His FAVORITE!  And it lived up to every expectation.  So yummy.  My mom even changed up her recipe a little to make it Gluten Free for me.  She also went to Cravings and bought me waaaay too many delicious GF cupcakes so I would always have dessert handy.  That made me feel so special.  And those cupcakes were all delicious!  Halle stayed home from skiing because she didn’t feel great, so she helped Grandma make the apple cake and she helped set the beautiful Christmas table.  _DSC5238After dinner we held the annual talent show.  It was one for the ages.  Blake told Dad Jokes, Josh and Halle played a Clarinet/Sax duet, Mom and Tara played Jungle Bells while Simon shook his bell, Jack played the piano, Leo did sign language to Silent Night, Jhena sang a beautiful song, Cole played us one of his awesome tunes where he played all the instruments and mixed the song, and at the request of his chanting fans, Landon graced us with our annual rendition of Star Wars.  Great fun was had by all!  _DSC52392018 Talent showThen on to our special Christmas program.  This year my mom read them a story about all the symbols of Christmas.  When the story was over they got to open their own beautiful little wreath with all the symbols of Christmas to decorate it.  They are so cute!  IMG_10282018-12-24 20.17.37Dash loved Fenix’s new dog bed just as much as Fefe did.  And those candy cane bones are his favorite thing EVER.  Also, how cute are Chole and Fenix’s Santa and Mrs. Clause outfits? 2018-12-24 21.19.47_DSC5295Now on to Christmas PJs!  A Highlight of the night.  Grandma rocked it this year.  Everyone LOVED their jammies!2018 Christmas Eve Pajamas_DSC5286.jpgThe girls got some darling, fuzzy socks from a little German Market, and the boys got awesome beach blankets.  _DSC5291_DSC5292And last, but not least, after everyone else had gone home, the Banks siblings exchanged their presents.  We’d gone to target the week before and everyone had done their shopping. I must have been deliriously tired, because I took zero pictures.  Blake gave Halle a fractured fairy tale book and some Model Magic clay.  Halle gave Josh some awesome Fox slippers and a candle, and Halle gave Blake a fun fidget toy and a mystery RoBlox figurine.  Merry Christmas to all, and to all a GOOD NIGHT!
