I may or may not be shedding a few tears while writing this post. Rusty cut off Blake’s adorable baby hair last night. Rusty thinks it was hair only a mother could love. Sure, it looked a little like a hair piece plopped down on his baby head, and he was almost bald underneath the long top locks, but I just loved it! It was his stand out feature. Rusty’s been wanting to cut it almost since birth, and I finally conceded that it was time. So Rusty got out the clippers and went to work. Blake cried a tiny bit, in contrast to Josh who cried a LOT (not while we cut Blake’s hair, but when we cut his hair). I have to admit Blake looks pretty cute (sorry my pics are not the best, he was very subdued after the trauma 🙂 but it makes him look so grown up. WHY DO BABIES GROW SO FAST????
Then this morning I came down to scoop up the little pile of hair and tie a little ribbon around it for his baby folder (I don’t do books) and Rusty had thrown it in the garbage! Luckily, it was a new liner and the hair was the only thing in it. You better believe I pulled it out and saved it. Was that going too far?

Ohhhhh! I say he's a cutie with or without the long locks! He does look a lot older with the haircut, though! 🙂

I'm shedding a few tears too, but only because I'm jealous. Breah's first and only haircut wasn't even enough to gather on a piece of tape and look at all that you've got tied up. Life just isn't fair!

You've got to love that soft little baby hair-it's just so kissable and cute! I would have grabbed it out of the garbage too! You know you'd be kicking yourself if you hadn't!

I can't believe how much older he looks with his hair cut (and I think he looks more like Josh). Sammy still looks like a bald old man, I don't expect to see real hair for at least another year.

WOW- a haircut at 6 months! Little Blake is so cute! I can't believe how fast they grow! And he does look a tiny bit older now. I'm impressed..Kenz got her first at 2 (years not months) and I'm pretty sure Brin is following in her footsteps. Nothing to cut as of yet. 🙂

Oh man that first hair cut is always so hard for me!!! Too sentimental I guess. Well he sure is a handsome little guy either way! What a cute family you have!!!

He is soooo cute!!! So sad when they get their first cut. Have to save the baby locks!
