The Best Present Ever

I bet you all thought it would be the baby, didn’t you? Well, it’s not. The best present ever (given to me, by me) is that I hired someone who came and scrubbed my house from top to bottom yesterday. And it was heavenly. I just went about my day, getting little things done around the house, running errands, etc, all the while my house was being deep cleaned by someone else. Nothing better. It looks great and feels so good to have the whole thing clean at one time. But now I am probably going to turn into a Nazi mom and if even one crumb is spilled on the floor, or one little sticky hand touches my clean windows, there will be SERIOUS consequences. 🙂

  1. I thought we might have had babies on the same day! I was totally fooled….but 2nd best present to having a baby would be having someone else DEEP clean my house, what a nice treat. Hope you are doing great.

  2. Oh Tara–nice job!! Why didn’t I think of something like that?!! But to tell the truth..I got to the point where I was LOOKING and WANTING things to clean before the baby came–anything to make the days go faster and keep me distracted. I can’t wait to see pics of our new son-in-law! 🙂

  3. What a great idea!!! Us moms need all the help that we can get somedays! Enjoy it while you can! I have been wanting to do that for a long time and just haven’t so maybe I will give it a shot!

  4. Lucky! I had the vents and carpets cleaned, but the rest was up to me. That’s probably why I had the baby early!! Can’t wait for your little one to come!

  5. So glad you did that for yourself – you totally deserve it! And don’t worry about turning into a clean nazi. Now that your floors are so clean, you can just let the kids pick stuff up off the floor and put it in their mouths 🙂

  6. This is the best case of nesting I’ve ever heard of. I had just moved into my new house when I was supposed to be nesting, so I never had the experience, but next time, I’m totally copying you. Good Luck tomorrow.

  7. This reminds me of that Seinfeld episode (of course) where Jerry hires someone to come clean his apartment. He even discombabulated the dried up soap in the soap container!

I am totally hiring someone like that when I have a house. Nice job Tara!
